Airlineratings.com declared Korean Air the best airline in the world. Korean Air beat out Qatar Airlines, last year’s winner, who slipped to the second spot this year. Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, and Singapore Airlines rounded out the top five full-service airlines. Aero Mexico was the only North American airline to make the top twenty-five.

The top twenty-five best full-service airlines in the world are:

This year, Airlinerankings.com added a new category: Hybrid Airlines. They define Hybrid Airlines as “an airline that combines features of both low-cost carriers (LCCs) and full-service airlines. These airlines typically offer a mix of low-cost features on short- to medium-haul routes in economy and business class, while providing a premium full-service experience on medium- to long-haul flights across all cabin classes.” While only one North American airline made the full-service list, nearly half of the top twenty hybrid airlines are North American, with JetBlue in the top. Four of the top five hybrid airlines are based in the Americas, with Westjet, Delta, and United coming in at two, four, and five, respectively.
